Kiran Polavarapu M.D.Kiran Polavarapu, M.D. was born in the Midwest and raised as a Texan. After graduating in the Top 3% of her class from Temple High School and being honored with the Wendy’s Heisman Award (awarded to only two students in the state of Texas), she became one of a few students in the state of Texas to be awarded Presidential Scholarship from Texas A&M University. She then earned a combined BA-MD from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, being one of only a handful of out-of-state students accepted into the exclusive accelerated medical program.

Dr. Polavarapu went on to complete residency in general surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess in Boston, Massachusetts, a Harvard training program. She chose to continue her training with a plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship in Louisiana State University.

She was then fellowship trained in cosmetic/aesthetic Surgery at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary under internationally renowned Manhattan plastic surgeon, Dr Donald Wood-Smith. Due to the effects of Hurricane Katrina, Dr. Polavarapu’s training has been more than unique and rewarding.

Her training was the perfect mix of esteemed prestigious academia at Beth Israel Deaconess and the strong heart and community strength of a Texan. This unique blend of approachable southern charm, exceptional academic training, and unparalleled education sets Dr. Polavarapu apart from the rest. She treats every patient like family and caters to the patient as a whole.
